It’s Tortilla Time

Hi I’m Tori and this is my Story

My babies My babies

My babies

Today my father actually did something considerate- he invited Ben and I out for lunch. He had Liam and Po in tow and thought that it would be nice for us to be able to see them. I was stunned by his newfound benevolence.

It was so pleasant to see my babies again. Liam now takes pride in telling people that he’s two and a half, and has an affinity for recycling trucks. Po is as potato-like as ever, and has more fat rolls than I have fingers.

Liam received a tour of my high school, which was truthfully just an excuse to introduce him to my friends. Teachers passed, and I heard one mumble they just get younger and younger.

I feel as though I should wear a t-shirt that says ‘This is my brother!’ in BIG BOLD LETTERS.

I am sick of all the disapproving stares I receive when I am seen walking my babies.

  1. People assume too much. One time my friend and I were out with my youngest sister and some lady stared at us and we could tell what she was thinking. But, my sister is only 7 years younger than me, so that wouldn’t have been possible.

  2. Back in the day when I was only 1 year old, my family went to the mall and my mom left me with my cousin(he was like 15) for a few minutes. He told me girls came up to him and said, “You have such a cute child.” After that, he always used me to attract the ladies.

  3. Maybe not calling them “your” babies might help people to stop that.
