God bless Coles Notes
This weekend will find me deep in the placid countryside of southwestern Ontario. My mum has shamelessly dubbed this weekend ‘girls weekend,’ and we will be staying with her best friend. It should be noted that her best friend lives in the middle of nowhere, though I have become quite accustomed to her rustic lifestyle and the quaint town in which she resides.
This trip will undoubtedly provide me with endless opportunities to read up on The Grapes of Wrath. My literature teacher recently assigned this book to my class, and we are expected to have it read by the beginning of October. In all honesty, the book bores me intensely. Yoon Baboon mentioned that she wasn’t entirely enthralled the first time that she read the book either, so at least I am in good company.

Of Mice and Men is SO much better.
I actually haven’t read the Grapes of Wrath, but Of Mice and Men is a really good book.

Seriously, I hated it with passion the first time I read it for the class. But I loved loved loved it 2 years ago. Maybe I’m getting old and my taste in books is changing…
