Child of the 90’s
Today was one of joyfulness and glee. This evening, as I sat dutifully at the computer screen, my brother ordered my ass downstairs immediately. I had recently returned home from the mall, and was actually quite drained from my shopping expedition. Sensing Ben’s surprisingly sincere tone, I rushed downstairs and stood before the television in pure and utter awe.
RUGRATS WAS ON.
I couldn’t believe it. As if that wasn’t prodigious enough, an episode of Rocko’s Modern Life soon followed.
It is evidently ‘retro’ week on YTV, and despite my dislike for being deemed ‘retro,’ I am absolutely ecstatic that I have been given an opportunity to watch all of my favourite childhood shows again. This is amazing. I yearn for some Angry Beavers, and I miss the days when I could vocalize this without evoking disgusted looks.
In all seriousness, I am a product of the 90’s, how does this merit the title of ‘retro?’ I can practically feel the grey hair sprouting on my head.

I hate how they only show Rugrats here on Sunday mornings, at fucking 6 AM. WTF, really? I always have to DVR it.

I never get to watch Rugrats anymore. But every time I turn on Nickelodeon in a Hotel room, there’s all these new shows on. And most of them can’t even compare to Rugrats…

I don’t think they even show it on Nickelodeon at all anymore because I can never find it in our TV guide. Rugrats is always on channel 342767354 or whatever(Nicktoon), and it sucks because if you don’t subscribe to those hundreds of channels, you can’t watch it.

I haven’t seen Rugrats in YEARS. Same with Rocko’s Modern Life. I don’t try to though, so maybe that’s the problem.
