It’s Tortilla Time| Hi I’m Tori and This is my Story

About Me

My name is Tori. I am seventeen years old.

I was born and raised in Southern Ontario, Canada. I currently find myself in high school, absorbed in useless studies that I will knowingly never use in the real world. At one point in life I desired more than anything to get into the field of veterinary medicine, a desire that has left me studying challenging courses that I despise. When reality bitch-slapped me in the form of chemistry, I decided to stick to what I’m best at; writing. I now have much more realistic aspirations of journalism.

My parents decided to get a divorce when I was ten years old. My father married she-who-shall-not-be-named soon afterwards, and with that came the father-daughter estrangement of the century. I was not invited to my father’s wedding nor was I aware that he was even engaged. Our relationship was barely rekindled years later, and to this day it remains rather strained.

I have one brother, Ben, who is seventeen months younger than I. My other two brothers, Liam and Po, are my half brothers, products of my father and she-who-shall-not-be-named. I maintain a relationship with my father solely for my toddler brother, Liam. I have come to quite like him.

My two dogs are the centre of my universe, my constant companions, the apples of my eye. I credit them for my sanity, or perhaps lack thereof. Sally, a Rough Collie, is my heart dog, and Seamus O’Grady is the resident pain in the ass. I also have two cats, Pepe Le Peu and Kit. They take on the persona of two lumpy potatoes.

I am currently in a relationship with a most delightful chap, Cameron. We have had the good fortune of meeting at the age of six. Our close friendship developed into a relationship in our sophomore year of high school.
